PRE AND POST TOURS

The Conference Committee of the 13th Workshop on Separation Phenomena in Liquids and Gases, recommend to take guaranteed services and has named to Covitour as Official Travel Coordinator in order to provide touristy services in Argentina and to planned some overland tours exclusively for attendees. Registering for one or more of these tours will allow the opportunity to travel with other colleagues and friends enjoying the marvelous attractions of this county with group rates.
Each tour is expected to operate exactly as shown subject to minimum number of being reached, If minimum number are not achieved, an alternative program will be offered or complete refund will be made. Certainly tours will also have limited space which will be allocated strictly in order to receipt bookings.

(*) As the minimum connection time between the domestic and the international airport of Buenos Aires is 4 hours, and depending on the return international flights of delegates, it may be necessary to add an extra night at Buenos Aires. Every particular situation will be informed to delegates.

DAY 01: ANDEAN CROSSING BARILOCHE( Argentina) - PEULLA (Chile)

Breakfast and transfer to the port to start the Andean Crossing, one of the most extraordinary tours and the most picturesque way of traveling from Argentina to Chile. Spectacular navigation though the Nahuel Huapi, Frias and Todos los Santos lakes, all of which located amid Argentina and Chile. Overnight in Peulla, a lovely village in the middle of the Andes. DAY 02: ANDEAN CROSSING: PEULLA - PUERTO MONNT or PUERTO VARAS

Breakfast and continue to Puerto Varas. Along the way we will stop to visit the Petrohué falls, a spectacle of nature that offers geological formations of volcanic origin that give rise to spectacular water rapid. Accommodation.

DAY 03: PUERTO MONNT - SANTIAGO.

DAY 01: BUENOS AIRES

Arrival in Buenos Aires. Meet & greet by Covitour English speaking staff. Transfer to the selected hotel. Accommodation.
Evening Dinner and Tango Show: Buenos Aires is the birthplace of Tango, born in the brothels of the city, just before the beginning of the 1880s century. The word' Tango" refers to both a musical style and the dance performed to it. Tango, a dance known as passionate, sensual and very elegant, was all the rage in the 1930's in Buenos Aries and Paris. Tango is not only a dance but also an obsession. For the ´tanguero´, it is as much as a part of life as eating and sleeping. Morning City Tour of fascinating Buenos Aires: A different and original approach to discover the city’s most beautiful places, bars and avenues, to live her cultural life and to see her rich history come alive. A tour covering the outstanding points of interest: '9 de Julio´ Avenue, Colon Theatre (Opera House), San Telmo neighborhood, birthplace of the city, May Square, historical and political centre, La Boca district, famous for 'Caminito' street, May Avenue, Recoleta district, known for its Cemetery and Palermo, wide and beautiful park located in the heart of one of the most elegant areas in the city. DAY 03: BUENOS AIRES

Iguazú Falls one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature by the New Seven Wonders of the World, are located at the northern extreme of Misiones Province in the border with Brazil, the Iguazú Falls are the highlight of the Argentine/Brazilian rainforest. The falls are the widest and most imposing water falls on Earth. Their name in the native tongue, guaraní, means Big Waters and this is, undoubtedly, the perfect name for them.

IGUAZU FALLS - 3 DAYS / 2 NIGHTS

Day 1: BUENOS AIRES - IGUAZU

Departure from Jorge Newbery Airport (Buenos Aires) on flight to Puerto Iguazú. Arrival at Iguazú Airport. Reception (local guide) and transfer to the selected Hotel. Accommodation.

Optional: Brazilian Falls Tour.
In the afternoon, enjoy a different view of the Falls during a walking tour through the passages that connect the different observation points for a panoramic view of the falls framed by a myriad of rainbows.

Day 2: IGUAZU

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day Argentine Falls tour.
Spectacular views walking in the heart of the jungle. This tour visits Iguazu; National Park walking along the paths that cross the jungle and lead to the falls. The lower path runs along about 1.200 metres by the river to see the foot of some of the cascades. The upper path allows the view from the top. After this walk and a short ride on the train to the footbridge over Devil's Throat. The feeling of the magnitude and strength of the water falling is overwhelming and unpaired. The wild noise is so high that it can be heard various kilometres away. The mist over the Devil's Throat is such that endless rainbows are formed.

Optional: Optional: The Great Adventure
After the walk, take the all terrain trucks to go through the Jungle, following the Yacaratia path to reach Macuco Port Rapids: 5 mile navigation through the lower Iguazú River on speed inflatable boats, crossing 2 miles of rapids. Cascades: Boats get into Devil's Throat Canyon approaching to the water falls to finish the adventure at San Martin Island. Accommodation.
